Castle Valley is the poster child for western landscapes, and you’ve probably already seen it somewhere in a movie, TV show, or commercial. And if somehow you have, in fact, never laid eyes on Castle Valley before, you’re not going forget it once you do!

This serene section of the Colorado River moseys through a big beautiful red-rock canyon. As for the waters here along the Colorado River, it stays pretty warm from late spring to early fall.

You’ll spend most of your time floating, with a few Class II rapids to cool you off along the way. Expect plenty of fascinating interpretations and fun stories from your river guide on this mild trip!

My friend and I were driving around and found Mild To Wild- so glad we did because our fears of whitewater rafting here were put to rest and we were able to book a trip for the next day. Our guide was Namy and she was AMAZING! I felt like I was in great hands and she really had knowledge about the area, geology, animals, river, and so much more.

Our group of 13 (6 adults and 7 children ages 8-13) had a great time on this adventure! Emma was an awesome and knowledgeable guide and fantastic with our children. Highly recommend this trip if you are in Moab and want a half-day experience on the Colorado—a good mix of small rapids, relaxation and beautiful scenery!
