Captains Taylor and Mollie went out of their way to deliver our just-right-sized group of passengers an exceptional trip. We had just wanted to see and snorkel with colorful reef fish at Kealakekua Bay. We spent lots of time there, with Mollie pointing out and sometimes retrieving interesting fauna. But we also ended up swimming with sharks and pilot whales, as we drove to and stopped at numerous places over a wide area. At one stop, looking for daytime manta rays (usually, the way to see manta rays is to book a separate night trip), Mollie came up with a big octopus. On the birding side, we saw brown boobies, shearwaters and storm petrels. Great vibe, excellent boat.
