I was terrified to do this activity, but the team of Bri, Austin, and Izzy were just amazing and made the entire experience for me and my husband one to remember. Their professionalism and humor took the edge off of anxieties. I appreciated the challenges along the way in that each zip was presented differently to up your game a bit each time. Prior to the last zip, Bri let us know what CLIMB Works actually stands for and I found her words inspiring enough that I actually went no-handed and attempted a pose on the last zip. While I'm sure it was not a great attempt, it was pretty good for a woman who was completely terrified at the beginning and clinging to the handle bars with a death grip.
I also appreciated Climb Works' attention to detail with regard to safety and all of the other elements of zipping that could potentially prevent me from even trying this. I have bad ankles and feet, so was worried about the landing process. For anyone with those types of issues, no need to worry. The braking system slows you to a stop, while the guides grab your line and pull you to the platform.
This course does require you to climb spiral staircases and walk along plank bridges at decent heights, so be prepared for that. It's nothing too physically strenuous...probably more psychologically challenging if you are afraid of heights.
I can't wait to do this again and take our kids with us. I know that CLIMB Works would like suggestions for improvement, but I say just keep doing what you are doing. I'm sure all of the other guides are great as well, but we will be requesting the same team when we go again.
