If you're a true Broadway fan, this should be on your bucket list. The staff were super welcoming and friendly. They have a good system for getting you in and metering the traffic so it was never too crowded in any area. They have FREE lockers, which we so appreciated because it was a freezing cold day and we were bundled up. It was great to be able to leave coats, hats, scarves, bags and go through unencumbered. I would have paid for a locker, so I was really impressed and pleasantly surprised that they were free. Just a nice (rare) perk. The displays were beautifully presented, with photos, playbills, original costumes and props. My favorites were the handwritten notes, telegrams, letters, etc. They have a huge collection of Hirschfeld caricatures that sortof tie the whole thing together. I had goosebumps throughout and, not gonna lie, shed a few tears. If you're a big fan you can easily spend 3 hours, although after a couple of hours I felt information overload. My only criticism is that the informational captions on most of the items were TINY, and many were too high or too low to comfortably read. I would easily pay the ticket price to go again - just too much to take it all in in one visit.
