I spent the day with my grandson, not much was open, he was very bored, couldn’t get on the boat ride, as there were no tickets left. The children’s museum was closed, not much for kids, I wouldn’t recommend bringing kids while they are only partially open. Expensive lesson.

I am sorry to hear of your negative experience at Mystic Seaport. It is true that many of the buildings in the village are inaccessible due to Covid-19 restrictions but there are numerous activities for children to do here. First off we have games on the green where kids can play 19th century games like hoops and graces or other classics like crochet, bocci ball, lawn checkers or walk on wooden stilts. Sign ups for these activities are in the Discovery Barn. Kids also enjoy our planetarium shows, getting out on the water with an adult in a peddleboat or rowboat (free with admission-no experience necessary). We also have a maritime playscape area where kids can climb small wooden boats, a scale model building and 3 vessels to board including the last wooden whaling ship in the world. Your ticket can also be validated for a second visit within 3 days in case you missed out on the free 25 minute river cruise. We release those tickets first thing in the morning for early cruises and again at 1pm for afternoon cruises as they do fill up. One thing I would also like to mention is that our tickets come with a guarantee of satisfaction and we would like to make things right. Please call 860 572-0711 if you would like to discuss. Thankyou for your feedback and I hope you would reconsider your review as we try and navigate opening in a safe way for our visitors and our staff.
