I visited Napa to propose to my girlfriend. I called David at Consort Wine Tours, and he and his wife, Susan, provided an amazing experience. Susan was our driver all weekend and was extremely pleasant to be around. She picked up my girlfriend from the SFO Airport and brought her back to the hotel where I proposed. Earlier that day, Susan met me at the hotel to go over the logistics of the proposal and make sure everything went according to plan. I really appreciated her commitment to making it an amazing proposal. After the proposal, Susan and David drove us to dinner and actually purchased a phone charger while we were eating since my girlfriend forgot hers. This was a very impressive personal touch. On Saturday, Susan picked us up and took my new fiancé and I on a fun and relaxing wine tour. She had all of the logistics and plans already in place which allowed us to just enjoy the ride. We had a great time at every stop and especially enjoyed the picnic lunch and one-on-one tours at the wineries. That night Susan and David took us to dinner and when they picked us up they had gotten us a sweet engagement gift (caramels from a local candy shop). It was another great touch to the weekend. On Sunday, Susan took us to the airport--capping off a wonderful weekend. I don't know how I could visit the wine country without Consort Wine Tours! I would recommend them to anyone I knew that was visiting! They were that great!

We found out about Consort Wine tours on Trip Advisor. The reviews did not disappoint. David picked us up right on time at our hotel in Yountville. We had emailed him about a few wineries that we wanted to visit the week before. We were good to go to those, but he also suggested a few smaller boutique wineries, so we figured why not. We are very glad we did, he brought us to places we would have never found on a map and we thoroughly enjoyed them. He was informative, friendly, helpful and courteous. It truly was a VIP experience. At one of our stops we enjoyed an excellent lunch from the Bouchon Bakery, without the lineup! I would highly recommend David and Consort to anyone who wants to enjoy wine country like a VIP.

We had an absolutely wonderful day with Susan from Consort Wine Tours. Had a slight scheduling hiccup right after we were (very promptly!) picked up from our hotel, but Susan took care of that immediately and we were on our way. She brought my husband and me in to each of our tasting appointments to make sure we were checked in appropriately, waited in the car for us during the tasting, then stowed away all of our purchases. She was so pleasant to talk to & very helpful as well - and was also great about providing us with fresh water (and even sparkling wine!). Even better was the lunch she had picked up for us earlier in the day from Bouchon that we ate sitting alongside the vines after a winery tour. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Consort to anybody planning a trip to the Napa area. David and Susan are very in-tune with the types of wines their customers are seeking; so much so that they even went out of their way to schedule a tasting for us at a winery the following day because they just knew we would absolutely love it. And they were right! We also did another tour two days later using a different guide and had a MUCH less pleasant experience. If we could do that second tour over again, we'd absolutely choose Consort. David & Susan are as good as it gets!
