we finally get to Jamestown and locate the Comedy Museum. biggest problem was where to park. this one was restricted--that one was by permit only. so we drove around a bit and then ta da when found two parking spots in the accessible lot---thank goodness for their handicap thingys.
anyway, THIS IS A MUST SEE/DO ACTIVITY.
two of the Chicks also did the Lucy/Desi Museum and they liked it.
I honestly don't know where to begin---there is soooooooooo much to see and do.
once you get your "bracelet" and complete your profile----e-maill address, picking out the comedians, the shows and actors/actresses you like, you are good to go. and get this, once you start, every time your bracelet hits the "button" your information is saved and then sent to your e-mail, which I haven't checked as of yet. but, I am looking forward to re-living the things I did. and I gotta say, I did some AWESOME things.
I did "stand up comedy"---which was real easy as the teleprompter had all the words you needed. and yes, there were 2 other tables besides us. that is a MUST DO.
there is so much to see, so much to watch, and so much to do.
another MUST DO is the one with the pictures of actors making funny faces. you try to copy them and then your picture is taken and shown on the wall next to theirs.
we watched some tidbits from "Family Ties", "Mash", "Bob Newhart", "Saturday Night Live", and many more---laugh out loud for sure.
I drew a person with a caption for a cartoon, and one of the Chicks & I did the Lucy & Ethel bit of the candy on the production line. that is an absolute MUST DO. we even did a little skit from "Saturday Night Live".
we had a BLAST, we enjoyed everything we did, and we did a lot!
ALL the workers we chatted with were very pleasant and helpful.
so trust me when I tell you that this is a MUST SEE/DO activity.
and by the way, we were there for 3 fun filled hours.
