When your cooking class ends you will have a few minutes to shop in the General Store before your tour guide arrives at the School to pick you up for the second part of your tour. Admire the architecture of the French Quarter as you stroll through the neighborhood, stopping in historic bars to sip the Big Easy’s most celebrated cocktails. You'll discover the flavors and culture of New Orleans during this fun and informative tour! Your cocktail tour guide will meet you outside of the cooking school by 4:15pm. Three drinks are included in the price.

Both parts of the tour were excellent. The cooking class was informative and entertaining. The cocktail tour was full of interesting stories about the origin of local drinks. The problem we had was that the cooking school did not end at 4 and we had to leave early to get to the other half of the tour. They might be more enjoyable if done separately rather than together.

The Culinary portion of the tour was the only part I participated in and it was fabulous. The chef who taught the class and cooked the 3 dishes gumbo, pralines and jambalaya did so in a delightful mix of personal stories, humor and sharing tips. Each table had about 6 guests and the room was full. Ample food served to be a mini-meal for the late afternoon. Beer, tea, water served as well. Would recommend telling guests who also signed up for the cocktail tour before the cooking class begins to leave about 15 minutes early in order to walk over to meet up with the next tour to do the cocktail walking tour. We missed it because we didn't know. The tour staff were accommodating though and gave us other options for later that night. The Ghost Tour at 7p was awesome!!!
