Really poor tour with very few stops for tasting. When we did sample sizes very so small that you could not get a real taste of the flavor. Tour guide did not seem to know much history of the food and area. When he did talk, it was very choppy and unorganized. It was not worth even the discounted Groupon price. We had to go and have dinner after. Seriously - we were on a food tour and we then had to buy dinner??

Dave our tour guide was awesome and extremely knowledgeable and I would recommend his tour guide skills to anyone, he made me forget that it was 36 degrees outside and rainy/snowy. The sample portions were just enough to taste New Orleans but not enough to truly form an opinion on a restaurant or cooking style, of course Dave warned us we would receive Costco club sample portions but knowing that in advance would have been nice so I’m passing this on to you. Price per portions is 1 rating but price per Dave’s knowledge is a 5 so add them together and divide by 2 and there you go, it’s a 2.5 rating rounded up to 3.

Disappointed in this experience. I expected being able to visit some name restaurants and learn their techniques for their unique dishes. Instead, we went to a few small 'hole-in-the-wall' places and had a small taste of one item at each. No interaction with restaurant staff or insight into ingredients or preparation. I can go to a restaurant and eat without paying for a tour guide. Would not recommend this tour to anybody else.
