Enjoy the stories on a walking tour through New Orleans’ elegant 19th Century garden neighborhood. You will get to look through the gates at Lafayette Cemetery #1, currently closed to the public. This neighborhood and its cemetery tells the story of New Orleans from the Louisiana Purchase to the Civil War. Stunning antebellum mansions, lush gardens, unforgettable stories, and beautiful photo opportunities await! We keep our group size under 12 guests to make in a fun, personal experience.

James was a GREAT guide! So knowledgeable and had so many back-stories and actual experience. He wasn’t just a guide reading off a script. He had first-hand experience of the places we went to. He made it personable.

We had a fantastic tour through the Garden District with James! Lucky for us, we had him all to ourselves as no one else had booked in for that particular date and time. He is a veritable fount of information about the area, with abundant, accurate historical knowledge, as well as stories of more recent people and places. A small tour is infinitely better than the ones run with large groups, as you get a much better feel for the history and culture in the area you are touring. We highly recommend, and thanks again to James for a very enjoyable morning!

James was fascinated by the Garden District when he first started learning the tour a few years ago and he learned everything he could. But since then, he has dived even deeper into the stories of the lush, elegant neighborhood and his tour is just marvelous! He artfully combines the stories of our history and culture with humorous observations of what is happening in the Garden District and the cemeteries right now. Please take his Two Cemeteries tour next time you make in to New Orleans. Libby
