Enjoy the stories on a walking tour through New Orleans’ elegant 19th Century garden neighborhood. You will get to look through the gates at Lafayette Cemetery #1, currently closed to the public. This neighborhood and its cemetery tells the story of New Orleans from the Louisiana Purchase to the Civil War. Stunning antebellum mansions, lush gardens, unforgettable stories, and beautiful photo opportunities await! We keep our group size under 12 guests to make in a fun, personal experience.

Josh’s tour gave us a whole new perspective on our New Orleans visit! He gave us a passionate history of the city, filled with fun anecdotes and some lovely pictures thrown in. There was certainly a lot of history in such a small part of the city. He was very engaging and knowledgeable and the two hours flew by before we even realized! Great tour, highly recommended and ask for Josh!

This is just the sort of observation that we dream of when we plan the type of tour we want to give our guests! We want to help people "get" New Orleans through storytelling and walking through the very special places in this city with a group[ that is small enough that we can answer questions and customize content to the interests of our visitors. His tours are funny, historically accurate, well-researched, and easygoing - perfect for anyone wanting to learn about New Orleans and have a connection to someone who can continue to make recommendations after the tour. We really enjoyed this tour. Josh was a wonderful guide who answered all our questions about history, architecture and famous residents of the garden district. We really like this small group tour and would highly recommend.

Thanks for this excellent review! We are so proud to show off the beautiful Garden District to visitors - it is just as interesting as the French Quarter but in a whole different way - lush, elegant, historical, proud, quiet, and richly interesting. Josh is definitely an excellent guide for this unique neighborhood, and he is so adept in familiarizing his guests with New Orleans in a fun way that continues to enrich their time in New Orleans even after the tour ends.
