We had an amazing tour with our driver Aaran and guide Jeff (Geoff?). He's quick witted, sharp tongued, and very knowledgeable. His love for his city is apparent. It was not a jump out and scare tour, but a very respectful and factual tour about NO and it's history, that just happens to include lots of death and hauntings. I learned a lot, especially about the process of "burial" in the city. The cemeteries are beautifully haunting. And if you listen, they will speak. I don't know who Reginald is, but I hope he rests well. The Katrina Memorial is humbling. It was a night tour so cemetery access was limited and I would like to go back during the day for another visit, but everyone knows nighttime is the right time for ghosts. Despite the educational aspect of the tour, we did have an unexplained moment on the bus where several of us heard a voice mimic Jeff, to the point we thought it was one of the group, but it wasn't and I still have goosebumps thinking about it.
Thanks Jefff/Geofff ( either way it's with 3 Fs) for a memorable
experience full of laughs, learning, and humility.
