I was very disappointed with this tour. It was quite expensive, but i was willing to pay the money as i had not previously been aware that New York has catacombs. But I feel that the event was falsely advertised. Of the one hour and fifteen minutes we had, less than ten was in the actual catacombs. And there was no candlelight - we were all given a little plastic light in the shape of a candle that we were told to turn on. And in the actual catacombs, there were larger plastic lights in the shape of candles. I would not describe that as 'candlelight.' Our guide was very enthusiastic, but did not appear to be that well informed about the catacombs - including very general information like even an approximation of how many people are buried in there. I think it would have been much better if the tour had been advertised as a tour of St. Patrick's Old Cathedral which includes a visit to the catacombs.
