The whole idea and thought of having a meal on the Hudson at night sounds great but in execution it wasn't.
We arrived around 30-40 mins before we set sail. We didn't get our first drink until 30 mins into us sailing. 1 hour wait from when we first sat down. Our waiter responsible for our section went missing on numerous occaions for long periods of time.
The waiter asked us if we were celebrating anything for the reason of this trip and told him it was our wedding anniversary and he congratulated us. During the course of the night, the DJ called out a bunch of celebratory requests, birthdays anniversaries etc but for some reason ours was not called out.
The waiter advised us that it would soon be our turn to head to the buffet food so we contiuned to wait. After 10 mins later, it was another table who advised us to get our food as there was a huge queue. The buffet food had a somewhat verity to choose from but the dessert was lacking.
When our bill came through at $80 for a bottle of wine, bud light and a pepsi we didn't think it was too bad. However, when the waiter took my card to make payment I was charged a further $16. No one could explain what this was for.
To pay £300 to even book on, I feel as if we did not get what we were expecting. Only food and entry was included in the fee. No drinks at all.
The only good thing about this was the night time views.
