Having seen pictures of the houses in their glory, I was a tad disappointed that it was on a much smaller scale than I was expecting, with just the odd house decorated here & there. The trip itself was well organised, the reps were waiting to board you on the bus & kept to the given timings, but the trip advertises “a small amount of walking” when actually you are dropped off on a residential street & told you have an hour to walk round the area until you meet up for the bus (the bus has to leave the area so no opportunity to reboard early). I tried to keep up with the tour guide but I’m on crutches & had to give up after about 15 minutes. There is nowhere nearby to sit down or anywhere to wait for the bus & it was freezing cold & windy - had I known in advance how long we were off the bus, I wouldn’t have booked, I consider an hour to be well more than a “small amount”. There was a stop on the return journey to allow for photographs of the night skyline but due to the amount of earlier activity, I opted to stay on the bus. We were dropped off at Bryant Park which gave an opportunity for people to visit the market stalls & ice rink, that was a nice end. The guide & the bus driver were friendly & had great depth of knowledge which was imparted on the journey, I just wish that the initial description of the tour gave more accurate information.

Hi there,
the only way to visit the Dyker Heights decorations is to walk around the houses. It is a residential area with no benches. I never had anyone complaining about too much walking on this tour. I am sorry that there was no clarity in the description.
Thank you for the feedback and we will take it into consideration to improve the description of the tour in the future.
Best
