We got there a 45 minutes earlier than out tour time(30 is recommended) and the guy that checked us in said it was great that we were so early. He said look I’m going to do you guys a favor and put you on an earlier flight. It’s longer, about 20min(ours was scheduled for 15) so it’s better for you guys. We think how great! But then we get on the tour it’s the Hudson River tour, not the Manhattan Highlights tour. So we circle around the Statue of Liberty, fly up the Hudson, and fly back. EXACTLY what I didn’t want. I researched so much for this trip and picked one specifically that didn’t do that because all the nj ones did this. We missed the long list of sights we were supposed to see. And as we are waiting we can see the staff happy that they put us on this one so they could fill up the helicopter that wasn’t full, and that they just had a few people left for the day. I feel so cheated that I didn’t get what I paid for, and even worse, I see on the way back to the helicopter pad the helicopter I was supposed to be on going over the Brooklyn bridge and south street seaport like I was supposed to. Hate my experience. Can’t look back on it fondly because of this, and I’ll never recommend anyone to do this tour.

Hi Quena, I apologize for any confusion over the route of the tour your purchased. All of our tours build upon each other. Being upgraded to a longer tour will mean that you will always see the same sights as the Manhattan Highlights Tour, which flies predominantly over the Hudson River. When you depart and land from the Downtown Manhattan Heliport you are flying right by the South Street Seaport and the Brooklyn Bridge, the flight itself never flies above the Brooklyn Bridge. It's likely that the aircraft you saw flying north along the East River was a private charter flight. I am going to review the wording on our Viator page to ensure that the route is more clear in the future.
