This tour is a great way to see some of the biggest attractions in New York City. One of the best things about the sightseeing day pass is you are your own tour. Everything is left in your hands as the traveler and you don’t have to be held back by people or other moving parts. You can go at your own pace which is very important to me because New York City moves fast. You can also curate your day to fit your own interests. There are many museums, walking tours, food tours, bike rentals, times square attractions and observation decks on some of the coolest buildings in the city. There are SO many things on this pass that you can get access to and if you easily using your phone. If you plan your day right, you can really fit a lot in. We didn’t plan our day too well and there were a couple of logistical bumps. We planned to stop at the gray line first thing in the morning so that we could ride around central park to the east side and visit the Guggenheim museum. The line at the bus station was painstakingly long and then three busses had to pass us by because they were full. By the time we got up top, ready to see the sights, we found out there was a parade so it wouldn’t be stopping at all on the east side. We had to get off and use the subway to get to the museum and we lost a lot of morning time! I would suggest picking up your tickets for the bus (if you want to ride the bus) at one of the other shops or attractions since it will be less busy then the actual bus office. Once we got finished with the Guggenheim we headed back down to midtown for some lunch in times square which was a great deal with the pass. We jumped back on the bus and headed down town to see spectacular city views from the top of both the empire state building and one world trade center. Riding the bus later in the day ended up being a blast. We had less stress about timing so we just sat back and enjoyed the ride. Every location we went to (minus the bus office) had no problems scanning our code and we were able to move quickly through the attractions. Overall, it was a great way to see the many highlights of New York City!
