First, get one thing straight. They were NOT called the Quakers. They were formally known as the Religious Society of Friends. And this is where they gathered, and help to build Newport. Learn about Newports story and Rhode Island's role in religious freedom, the house was built in 1699.

The tour stops outside the old house and tells the tale of tax collectors and the revolution.

We stopped in a neighborhood we had not seen and enjoyed a lovely latte and breakfast al fresco. We people watched and just savored being in this cute neighborhood
