This was brilliant. I read other reviews and didn't go for the package that included a drink. We had skip-the-line, combo tickets. Excellent.

One World Trade Center (One WTC) is the building in Lower Manhattan that has replaced the Twin Towers that were destroyed by a terrorist attack on September 11, 2001. They claim that the building (including spire) is the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere. The One WTC Observatory is the area near the top that is open for the public to view the New York City area from an altitude of about 1,100 ft. The day I went up there was sunny with perfectly clear visibility so the views from the big windows were amazing. I paid an extra $10 to get into the express line which includes a special elevator and other perks along the way. I was happy to do that because by the time I got there, at about 10:15 a.m., there were already long line-ups forming. With my special pass, I was whisked through to the express elevator in no time. So, I think it was well worth the extra $10. The elevators are very fast and I would guess that it took maybe 15 to 20 seconds to climb to the Observatory level. I hardly noticed that I was moving, except for the pressure in my ears changing; similar to taking off in an airplane. At the top, you will be awed by the amazing 360-degree views of Manhattan Island and the greater New York City area. In my opinion, One WTC Observatory is a must-see destination when visiting Manhattan.

Enjoyed my visit. Pre purchased the skip the line ticket on my phone so didn’t have to queue to purchase tickets or queue for the elevator. Went on a Wednesday afternoon so there wasn’t much of a queue so the skip the line isn’t strictly necessary. However it does come with the free explorer iPad which allows you to have a guide to the skyline. Overall worthwhile to get the additional skip the line package for 8$. Views were nice although you don’t get a very good view of downtown Manhattan as all the iconic buildings are quite far in the distance. You do get nice view of Brooklyn which you can’t really get with the other observatories. There is a nice program every hour where a guide tells you a bit about NYC. Overall an enjoyable experience. Elevator ride up and down was also nice as you get a visual simulation of the structure being built.
