The East Village Pub Crawl on the last Friday of December was a lot of fun. Made new friends from all over the world, got to know the young and interesting organizers and enjoyed drinks and dancing in the village. A good way to get to know the city at night.

Did the East Village crawl on a Friday night. Our hostess said she was new, and it showed. Really I only talked to her to check-in when I got there and didn't see much of her after that. On other pub crawls I have been on, the host was much more social with the group. I met some cool Australians though, most of our group was Australian! At the first three bars you go to, you get a free shot with every drink. It's a good deal, but resulted in me being very drunk. I was wasted by the time we got to the club. I had a fun time, but I ended up getting lost on the subway on the way home. I eventually found my way to my crappy hostel in Brooklyn, but I really should've used that Lyft ticket they give you. I forgot about it because I was so drunk. I'm going to knock the hostess again because on good pub crawls they make sure you know how to get back to your hotel/hostel. But my hostess was nowhere to be found when I left the club. The bars were good, I liked the first one especially because the bartender was fun. The club though was a bit disappointing. It was pretty dead when we got there, just a bunch of people standing around and no one dancing. Seemed strange to me for a Friday night.

We were in new york for 2 weeks and we did this pub crawl 3-4 times. It always good fun, and Rachel (or lauren as i like to call her) was awesome!! she made sure everyone was having a good time and spent time talking to each person. Finished off at an awesome club which catered for everyones music. All in all great pub crawl and well worth $20. Just a tip, if your looking for a wilder night, better off doing the friday/saturday crawl in east village, while the west side shows you a few more bars rather clubs... Good time all round
