What a great night. Stormy night, we didn't know if the tour would go on. Finally, those of us that had registered early stayed on.
There were 2 tours that night, a private event our ours. Our guide was so sweet. She lived and loved her neighborhood, we could tell. She was generous with her stories and time.
The interesting tidbit about this tour is that it is set in a beautiful Victorian era neighborhood, preserved like few others in that part of the US. Yes, there were very odd happenings that night, even before the tour got started, from a police car chase, to a one-legged dog running away from its master.
I don't think we saw ghosts, however, one of my pictures is very scary and one could extrapolate that we saw a women's face.
I love history; teenagers love scary stories. Those ghost/haunted tours reunite us. I would have like more time to scout Shakespeare in the park and grab a beer. Maybe time for an extended tour at some point?
We made many stops, heard many stories. Now, I do need to buy Louisville ghost books!!! ;-) and see the True Crime stories about some of the houses.
Teenagers did mention that it was more about crime stories and ghosts stories. Possibly. It all spooks me the same ! In other tours in other cities, the storytellers are more spooky and the guides are almost theatrical performers. Maybe that's something to ponder here...
A very enjoyable experience for the price. Highly recommend.
