We just spent an awesome week on Orcas, and the two guided trips we took with Outer Island were definitely highlights! The guided kayak trip to Point Doughty was great, perfect length for a nice day outing, lots of good information from the guide about resident wildlife, the islands in general, and paddling. We saw several seals and pups, as well as osprey, herons, a juvenile bald eagle. The whale watching trip was a couple of days later. We chose the 5:00 p.m. trip; although it was fairly choppy, the new boat handled well and we felt safe and relatively dry the entire time. We saw 30 plus whales - stopped counting. Captain Beau and his assistant knew exactly where to find the Orcas, and how to move the boat a bit to ensure they would pass by us again. It was great.
This was a bucket list item for me, and these guys did a great job!
