This tour departs from Orcas Island. The island can only be reached by the Washington State Ferry System. If your party is not already on island we recommend our Anacortes departure location.
Check in begins 30 minutes prior to departure.

Overall this was a good experience. We saw several orcas (although from a distance) and 2 feeding humpback whales. We did not get as close as the other boats, which was a bit disappointing. The Captain and assistant were knowledgeable and pleasant. It did get a bit irritating how they kept reminding you about how we saw whales and how great they were doing in prepping you to tip them when you left. A helpful tip for those who can plan a bit in advance. The full price was about $109/adult. Groupon offers the same exact tour for $59/adult. This just requires a bit of reading and pre-planning to save your a couple a hundred dollars for a nice meal later.

We went on a sunset whale watch excursion while vacationing on San Juan Island last August. The trip was a lot of fun... a beautiful evening on the water. Highlight was finding and following a mother Orca whale and her calf! The captain and crew took special care not to encroach on the whales space... keeping proper distance while getting close enough for us to get great views of the swimming whales. Captain and crew also very knowledgeable and informative about the area surrounding the islands. Would recommend this trip for all ages.

The most amazing trip. The tour was wonderful, the staff informative, nice and knowledgeable. They never gave up looking for the whales. I would will be back and would recommend.
