Peek-A-Boo Slot Canyon

Called by some as the “Mystical Canyon”, it’s no wonder that Peek-a-Boo is becoming more and more popular! This spectacular slot canyon is local to the Kanab area and though it is our most requested tour, it remains an excellent alternative to, or an addition to, the very crowded Antelope Canyon. On this tour, we are happy to let you take all the pictures you’d like. Though we are more and more likely to share the canyon with others, we are often alone here and the groups we see are just in passing. It is a pleasant experience with the time allotted for you to enjoy the marvels of a slot canyon.

Josh was an amazing tour guide. The UTV tour to the great chamber and peekaboo slot canyon was the high point of our Utah trip. I really appreciated Expedition Kanab attention to detail and communication while we were planning our experience. We will definitely use Expedition Kanab again!

What an incredible excursion! My husband and son (20yrs) and I had the most amazing time with Josh, our guide who drove us off-road to see the Peekaboo Slot Canyon and then through crazy fun trails to see the Great Chamber. We had been to Antelope Canyon before and weren’t sure what to expect but Peekaboo did NOT disappoint! Such gorgeous formations that are almost indescribable. Josh was very informative about the history of the formations as well as the Native Americans who once lived around and among these canyons. He also made sure to point out awesome photo vantage points and took amazing pics of our family. The hike through the canyon was just long enough and definitely doable for those that may not want anything too strenuous but be able to experience such a marvel. We then hopped back into the UTV for a super fun and wild ride to the Great Chamber. I had only discovered this incredible place recently, and as soon as I saw the pictures, I knew I would have to see it in person. It absolutely, positively did not disappoint, and Josh took the most incredible pictures of our family against this magical backdrop. He did a wonderful job of explaining how the chamber was formed, and what care we as visitors must take in preserving this awe-inspiring site and place. We truly could not be more grateful for such an amazing day And the memories we made will carry us through a lifetime. Thank you Josh and Expedition Kanab for rounding out a perfect family vacation!

04/04/2024 We started the trip at the main office where we were sized with our helmets and goggles. The gentleman that received us at the office is also the host on the pre- UTV video. A++ acting, worthy of an Oscar 🤣. In our email is the route to where Josh will meet us. We drove to the UTV location and met Josh. He gave us a pretty detailed instructions on what to do and what not to do. After that, on we go to this +30 mile, about 4 hours of absolutely amazing adventure, going through zigzagging sandy terrains and cool river. But that is not everything in this adventure... we made 2 stops and these magnificent stops will blow you away!!! One stop is of yellowish sulfur base rock formation and the other is an iron based beauty. Both are an unforgetable experience. A core memory to be exact!!! My family have been to the sand dunes of Abu Dhabi, and Oregon, did the Kualoa ranch in Hawaii. This is a whole another experience of sand dunes, and ATV ride. Definitely a must do if you are in Kanab Utah.
