Explore the countryside outside New York on a day trip to Philadelphia and Lancaster County, home of the Amish people. You'll drive through the beautiful Pennsylvania countryside, tour Philadelphia and its famous Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, and take an ride in an authentic Amish buggy.

Amish Country

Start your time in Amish country with a ride on an authentic Amish horse-drawn buggy that you through Amish farm country. Learn how this traditional community lives without the benefit of modern technology: no electricity, running water, telephone services, or appliances. After the ride, visit the marketplace where you can shop for handmade arts crafts and products. In the late afternoon depart east for your evening arrival back in NYC.

This tour was advertised as an Amish experience with a tour of Phil. Even though our tour guide was very good, I booked this tour to experience the Amish lifestyle. We had our buggy ride with the Amish gentleman but he told us his name and didn't utter another sound. We then went to the 'Amish' marketplace for lunch but there wasn't an Amish person to be seen. I asked one of the store workers and she said it definitely wasnt run by the Amish people. I paid $180 each for four people to attend this tour and it was a waste of money. We were very disappointed as we wanted to see the Amish way of life and wee didn't.

A very interesting trip shame the tour guide did not seem all that interested. Sure he's done it many times - but could have shown some enthusiasm about the trip. Loved the countryside

The trip was recommended to me by a friend who took it last month, and a thanked him for lead.
An itinerary full of history, very friendly tour guides, and Paul the nicest driver!
I highly recommend this trip to anyone!
