My husb and I took this tour with our 10yr old son. We loved every minute esp visiting the Amish community in Lancaster and going on the buggy ride. We also really enjoyed running up the "Rocky" steps and seeing the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall etc. Highly recommend.
Philadelphia was bit rushed. I would've loved to see more of the city, but understand that time was limited. The Amish section of the tour was just lovely. The mennonite gentleman who took us for the buggy ride was informative and entertaining.
Unfortunately, our Viator guide for the day was rude. He made inappropriate jokes about other cultures including, of all people, the Amish! He also mocked the accents of foriegners on the tour. Towards the end of the trip most of his commentary was devoted to promoting his own privately run tours. It spoiled was could've been an otherwise pleasant day.
Very disorganised start... Had to wait outside in the cool morning air and nothing to indicate where to go!!! Its a wonder anyone gets on the right bus. Bus air conditioning not working well and we were very cold for most of the trip. More information from the guide would be good.
