Преглед
We help you take iconic photographs of several locations in the Ketchikan area, including historical, cultural and nature attractions. We offer advanced and basic photographic instruction for cell phone, poin'n'shoot & DSLR camera users. We conduct our tours over a set route of 7 or 8 different locations with each location offering unique photo opportunities AND teaching opportunities. Although a majority of my photography instruction is equally applicable to BOTH cell phones, point’n'shoots and DSLR cameras, some of my instruction is specific to DSLR users.

Photo techniques taught for BOTH DSLR & cell phone & point’n’shoots include: composition, subject identity, subject proximity, subject balance, exposure, cropping, angle of approach, light compensation, macro photography...

Had a great time on this shore excursion. An excellent blend of sightseeing and photography. Our tour guide, Felix was friendly, entertaining, extremely knowledgeable about the area / photography, and very-helpful in teaching us how to capture some great photographs. Felix shared a lot of interesting facts / stories about Ketchikan and, if you have any interest in photography, I highly recommend both him and his tour. Whether you have a fancy camera or a cell phone / tablet camera, this is a terrific experience.

A terrific excursion in Ketchikan AK. A small group tour extending over 3 hours to unique locations for photography. Neither my wife nor I are photography enthusiasts but the excursion sounded like a great "non-touristy" way to see the area. We were not disappointed. Our tour guide was Felix, a local borough assemblyman, professional photographer, audio engineer and marine electrician. His local knowledge took us to several interesting locales and his local and professional knowledge enhanced the experience. He took his time with each member of the excursion, taught about lighting, perspective, color contrast, simplicity of subject. His iPhone and Android knowledge and tips enhanced our photos and helped overcome our lens envy. Definitely check out this attraction if visiting Ketchikan and don't forget to ask for Felix!!

You can book this tour directly off our web site @ KetchikanPhotoSafari.com and for the 2022 season we begin serving customers by picking up at the Ward Cove Cruise Ship Terminal as well as downtown Ketchikan cruise ship docks. Ward Cove & Ketchikan customers will have the option of being dropped off at a downtown Ketchikan shopping location OR returned to their cruise ship dock in Ward Cove or downtown Ketchikan.

It was pouring rain but that didn't deter our guide Rob from getting us to Ketchikan locations good for tourists and off the beaten path and for helping to improve our photography skills (what are umbrellas for anyway). Rob spoke a lot about composition and answered technical questions too. We also got some history of the locations and the city in general. Enjoyed being in a small group and learning not only through Rob but also the other photographers.
