Learning to surf with Sandbar Surf School is a lifetime bucket list thing that you will never forget. We are the premier surf school in California's Central Coast and we have been teaching surf lessons here in Pismo Beach since 1996. We have tons of local surf knowledge as well as many of our instructors are world travelers/surfers. We truly love what we do and you will have the best time in the world going with us. Laugh with us, surf with us and maybe even come to one of our bonfires! We would not only love to meet you from wherever in the world you are from, but we promise that your surf experience with us will be the part of the trip that you can't stop talking about in the days to come.

This experience was so much fun. My two college students tried surfing for the very first time while we were in Pismo on vacation, and after just one lesson they were able catch the waves. They had a blast and made fast friends with the other first time students. Josh and Michael B. were fantastic instructors and really connected with the students. I would definitely recommend this surf school. It was easy to locate, reasonably priced, and most important....effective.

This was my first time surfing and I am glad I signed up with Sandbar Surf School. The team was so welcoming and I had a great time learning to surf and I would definitely recommend this surf school to a friend.

As you’d expect they have a very laidback vibe. However they know surfing Our younger son was struggling until the instructor corrected his form. After that he got up on every wave.
