Learning to surf with Sandbar Surf School is a lifetime bucket list thing that you will never forget. We are the premier surf school in California's Central Coast and we have been teaching surf lessons here in Pismo Beach since 1996. We have tons of local surf knowledge as well as many of our instructors are world travelers/surfers. We truly love what we do and you will have the best time in the world going with us. Laugh with us, surf with us and maybe even come to one of our bonfires! We would not only love to meet you from wherever in the world you are from, but we promise that your surf experience with us will be the part of the trip that you can't stop talking about in the days to come.

It was a beautiful day and Johnny took my 18 year old son out for private lessons , it was amazing. He took the time to explain and show my son all the basics and gave him confidence to try and enjoy this new found sport. Johnny was patient and funny and put my son at ease, great personality and easy to talk with. We will be back this summer for more ..... highly recommended!!!!!!

The instructors are really good and helpful. They are also great with kids. I had a really great exxperience. The wet suits are a nightmare to get on, but once it sit, it fit.

We were part of a group lesson yesterday. Although there were 12 of us, there were 4 or 5 instructors so we got loads of personal help. My husband and I were both beginners and both got up on the boards with Kelsey's help. The instructors were really friendly and fun. The equipment is all in good nick and there's even a cute dog (Bucky) for company! Really recommend these guys.
