Learning to surf with Sandbar Surf School is a lifetime bucket list thing that you will never forget. We are the premier surf school in California's Central Coast and we have been teaching surf lessons here in Pismo Beach since 1996. We have tons of local surf knowledge as well as many of our instructors are world travelers/surfers. We truly love what we do and you will have the best time in the world going with us. Laugh with us, surf with us and maybe even come to one of our bonfires! We would not only love to meet you from wherever in the world you are from, but we promise that your surf experience with us will be the part of the trip that you can't stop talking about in the days to come.

I recommend this school for beginners! First of all they got most affordable package for beginners i found ( and i was searching all the web all the countries possibly).Classes are outgoing and you can join any time and if you can't make 5 days in a row, you can do days off( which would be smarter if I did),but needs to be discussed in advance in order to preserve space for a class. At second, Pismo beach is great location to try surfing your first times and it can make a wonderful getaway if you are not from there.Teachers are friendly and flexible and very very very nice people:)Among al of them I liked Alyssa) she was very active). Thank you Sandbar surf school! I hope to get back sooner!!!

I highly recommend this school. Fun times, great instructors! They spend time with you and encourage you. Alyssa was amazing - a teacher at heart! I'm glad I did it with this school. They take care of you. Bring water and sunscreen. You'll learn how to surf if you have the desire and patience.

Our 13 year old took a private lesson with Johnny and had the time of her life. Johnny was kind, patient, encouraging and FUN. He's got a lifetime of experience in the water and is an all around awesome guy. You won't find a better instructor in Pismo Beach! He knows his stuff and had our niece surfing in no time. She can't wait to come back to attend a surf camp. Thank you, Johnny!
