Justly after my arrival from Barcelona (Iberia IB2627) at Terminal 7 of JFK Airport (New York) at saturday late night on September 24th when I could see that the transfer was not waiting for me at my arrival, I wrote to the the transfer operator by whatsapp at number +1(212)666-6666 for the car comes to pick us up by informing my Terminal and the description of my clothes and from my partner. But the transfer operator obliged me to call them by an american SIM CARD chip to proceed to the transfer. The small, old and dark room from exit of Terminal 7 was almosty empty at almost 11 pm and I did not see any place to sell SIM CARDs. I only could see closed shops and old standard telephones to call to the closest hotels. No information service available. A nightmare for tired tourists from long flights.
And the Carmel Car insisted for me to call them by a american SIM CARD to realize my transfer to the Best Western Premier NYC Hotel. It is strange, because at whatsapp this transfer operator told me during my trip that I could call by whatsapp and I have this registration in my cell phone (image attached). And in the time of my transfer, they deny and demand this american SIM CARD.
So, without an american SIM CARD at that moment I had to get and pay 114 USD to an Uber Car for myself to reach my Hotel.
Thus, I lost around 100 USD with this failed airport transfer and I had to spend 114 USD more to get an Uber. I want my entire money back and please advice to all tourists that you NEVER accepts calls or messages by whatsapp, but only calls by an american SIM CARD.
