We did the 2 hour Central Bike tour using our Sightseeing Passes. We couldn’t book beforehand (because of our Passes) so we just had to turn up and take our chances. It was a bit chaotic signing up - small space, long queue with travellers and lots of luggage - but that’s pretty much a lot of places in NYC.
Our tour guide was fantastic - Pasha from Russia who had a great sense of humour and was very knowledgeable about the landmarks. He was always checking that our youngest son (who is a slow rider) was managing well, esp on the hills.
Their comfort hybrid bikes are easy to use. There are a few inclines in Central Park but it was easy enough on these bikes. You cycle in the dedicated bicycle lane so it is safe. Your main risk is crashing into another bike rider as there are so many people cycling as tourists.
It’s a quick tour, considering the size of Central Park, but you get to see the main highlights and there are stop opportunities for photos. I would highly recommend it - a great activity away from the concrete jungle!
