My wife, 16-year old son and I did a biking tour with Jeff on Wednesday afternoon. He was recommended by our hotel concierge and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this to others.
We reserved the date about a month before we arrived in DC - book ahead because it's only him so slots are limited. He was great on the phone and very flexible - we wanted to be met outside Ford's Theater and end at our hotel.
The tour itself was exactly what we were looking for - a fun and informative way to see all of the top venues. We started by looking at the map and learning about the city's layout (e.g., why the White House is situated where it is). We then rode to (1) The Capitol (both sides), (2) the Supreme Court, (3) Library of Congress (4) Smithsonian/National Mall (5) Washington Monument (5) Jefferson Memorial (6) view of Robert Lee's house (7) Korean War Memorial (8) Martin Luther King memorial (9) Lincoln Memorial (10) Vietnam Memorial (11) World War II memorial (12) the White House.
The whole thing took about 3 1/2 hours and it was super fun. We'd cycle for 5-10 minutes, from one site to the next, and then stop and Jeff would talk about the significance of that particular location. He is incredibly knowledgeable and enjoyed my limitless supply of questions.
To his credit, Jeff directed many of his remarks to our son, at the stops and also along the way, saying "David, you'll like this..." or "David, why do you think..." For the rest of our trip, we would quiz each other about what we learned and, impressively, we all managed to retain and lion share of an encyclopedia's worth of history.

Tony your thorough review and retention of the sites and history are wonderful! I'm so glad your tour was everything you hoped for and that you all had a great time AND that it lingered well after the tour was over. It is always a pleasure to have inquisitive guests and I credit a good chunk of what I know on the great questions I get. Thank you for sharing!
