No shared buses! This is a private vehicle for you and your group.

On this full-day private Frankfort, KY, bourbon distillery tour, you will visit three separate distillery operations. On these stops, you'll learn information about making bourbon, while learning the history of some iconic brands.

For this tour, please select (5-6) distilleries from the list ranked in order of importance. From there, we will coordinate with you and book (3) distillery tours with tastings for your group. These will booked based on availability, scheduling, and your ranking at your approval.

A mammoth distillery operation with daily allocated products and a beautiful campus. Guests at the Buffalo Trace Distillery Tour will learn a great deal about history and distilling science while tasting some fantastic products. This is a full distillery tour. This tour sells out well in advance, so please be mindful when booking. - Optional

Woodford Reserve Distillery

One of Kentucky's most iconic whiskey brands. Guests of the Woodford Reserve Distillery Tour will enjoy a scaled-down distillery operation in a historic setting. This tour provides a great deal of history, picturesque views, and a basic tasting. This is a full distillery tour and tasting. - Optional

Castle & Key Distillery

A gorgeous distillery grounds with post-card quality views and a great history. Guests at the Castle and Key Distillery Tour will get to explore the beauty of this property, while taking in the history of the brand. The tasting emphasizes gin, rye, and vodka, and the distillery operation is newer. This is a full distillery tour and tasting. - Optional

Wild Turkey Distillery

One of the pillars of distilling in Kentucky. Guests at the Wild Turkey Distillery Tour will enjoy a beautiful campus with countless postcard quality views and a great whiskey tasting. This site is closed as of winter 2024. We will update this offering as soon as we can! - Optional

Whiskey Thief Distilling Co.

A boozy stop at a small distillery operation. Guests at the Whiskey Thief Distilling will enjoy a classic Kentucky experience, tasting directly out of barrels and spending time in the barn. This is a small distillery tour with a strong emphasis on tasting whiskey. - Optional

Four Roses

A top bourbon destination for a company that is serious about making good whiskey. Guests at the Four Roses Distillery Tour can expect a unique tour with old Spanish-Style architecture and a mix of new and vintage distilling equipment. This is a full distillery tour and tasting. - Optional

Glenns Creek Distillery

A "no-frills" distillery that's focused on making good whiskey vs looking pretty. Guests on the Glenns Creek distillery tour can expect a down-home experience, with good whiskey, on a historic grounds. This is a small tour of the ground and production with a tasting. - Optional

J. Mattingly 1845 Distillery

A rustic, tasting-only stop that offers a nice variety of whiskey. Guests at the J Mattingly Distillery Tour can expect a nice tasting experience with a history of the brand. - Optional

Booking with Chuck was very easy. He was always quick with response to questions and transactions were seamless. He remained in constant communication. With us and we never felt like we didn’t know what was going to happen on our tour day. Our tour day was so relaxing and informative. We had 3 distilleries booked (Buffalo Trace, Wild Turkey, and Woodford) they were all so different and a perfect blend of traditional and modern locations. We even had a bonus stop at Castle and Key to take a look at the grounds and visit the gift shop (will definitely want to visit that one again). Chuck was well prepared, conversational, well-informed, and kept us on time for all our tours. Already thinking about the next trip with this great company! Unfiltered Tours is a great model for what local hospitality and tourism should be.

Thanks to Unfiltered tours and more specifically to Chuck and Jessi for making our time in Louisville special! We came down from Cinci for a last minute weekend trip and Chuck was able to accommodate us with a great tour at buffalo trace. Jessi was an awesome and accommodating tour guide who I would absolutely recommend to anyone! Couldn’t write this without saying thanks to Jessi for taking us on a stop at skyline chili on the way back to Louisville!

This was our first time in the Bourbon Trail! Chuck was very helpful in helping us plan the perfect day. We booked our own tour at Four Roses & Chuck was able to score some last minute tour tickets to Buffalo Trace for us! We also visited Castle & Key. We ended the day at Whiskey Theif, which was our favorite stop of the day! Jessi was our driver & she was fabulous. She was so nice, knowledgable & can tell she truly loved her job. She not only drove us around all day, she would walk us to the check in places & point us in the right direction. She kept us on schedule so we could get to all of our stops & tours on time. Would highly recommend this company! We will definitely be back soon & will be repeat customers!
