Our guide Dudley was very informative and very nice and accommodating, but the experience just wasn’t worth the money to me. Basically, the tour took us around the surrounding hills of Avalon, with nice views looking down, but no driving around the downtown, which I would have enjoyed. We were coming right off the ferry straight to the tour and Dudley was fine with us being just a few minutes late. We got the 3:15 tour, a few minutes late, and were done by 5, so it was less than 2 hours. It was also windy and cold in the golf cart at this time of year- blankets would have been nice. By 5pm, many of the stores were closed, so we finished our day trip to Avalon walking around deserted streets before the cold wait for the ferry back. While I would think that on a warm busy summer day, this could be a refreshing tour- at this time of year and the late afternoon made it less enjoyable, and ultimately I was sorry we spent so much money on it.
