Wow, what an experience! We had four mantas constantly looping right at us, very up close and personal. The boat ride out was very short so we had lots of time in the water with the mantas. More than enough time. The entire staff was great to work with. We made our reservation that afternoon directly with the company. We saw some review comments that folks had their time changed after booking with a third party. Sam got back to me right away and made the reservation process fast and simple. I highly recommend this experience whether visiting or a Hawaii resident, well worth it and first class.

My friends and I had an amazing night watching the mantra rays. It was a very short boat ride with Captain Jon to the mantra ray spot. Once you jump in your swim a short distance to the guide (Hunter) and hold on to a flotation device. You then have a pool noodle to rest on your hips so that your'e completely flat in the water. You have to remain as flat as possible so that you don't accidentally touch the rays. The mantra rays swim so close that sometimes you feel them brush against your body. The first few times they swim I was a little scared (due to their big open mouths) but once I realised they won't bump into you, I just floated and enjoyed the amazing experience. The time time in the water flew by but i think was the right amount of time spent in the water I didn't get too cold from just lying there. I highly recommend you use their wet suits and have your camera ready to go! Once we reached the shore they offered hot chocolate and tea which was perfect. Everyone we dealt with was so accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable. We were even given tips on where to snorkle the next day (which we did!!) Thank you i'll be recommending these guys to anyone heading to Big Island. I can't wait to go back! I would definitely do it again and again!
