ROTTEN customer service, NO RESPONSE for MONTHS!
First, the tour itself was fantastic. Our driver, Hunter, was an excellent tour guide and checked all the boxes. He and the experience get FIVE STARS. The booking process however, was an absolute nightmare. I tried to book a tour the first week after buying the Groupon for my girlfriend as a Christmas present. I called and left messages via email and via the website message option. I have never heard anything from any of these efforts to talk to someone or to converse via message. I began to read many other reviews from customers with similar experiences, and in doing so, I found a manager's contact info. This manager told me he would immediately take care of the issue and have a sales associate contact me. This never happened. Fast forward two months, and I still need to book an appointment. I went as far as opening a case with my credit card company to try and get my money back from Groupon, and this was to no avail due to shady business practices on their part and being stuck with a coupon that I couldn't even use with the SideCar Tours folks. As a last-ditch effort, I reached out to the manager, who has still not responded and tried to call the main booking number one last time before escalating my credit card case. Lo and behold, I reached an actual person, and they booked our trip. The rest was a great experience. We got a text from our driver on the day of our journey with more info, and the ride was a blast. It would have been nice to know we could/should have brought our snacks for the picnic, but we were able to buy something to make that work out. If this info had been given to us, I may have missed it.
