Australian girl that recently got back from Hawaii. I come from a surfing background, but wanted some confidence after a long break due to injury & also unsure re the reefs out front as haven’t surf here in a while. I had Skylar as my instructor & he was unreal. We picked a day that was ideally larger swell since I could already surf, he didn’t treat me like a beginner at all. Super supportive when we out the back calling me into some sick waves!! Pretty sure the camera guy was Mitch? Sorry if incorrect but he was also a sick guy. Skylar was such a chilled guy & we had some good chats in our session. Felt like I was surfing with a friend than an instructor. Super happy I picked him to surf with. Highly recommend stoke drift for all levels of surfers but also highly recommend Skylar!! All the crew stoke drift were unreal as well! So thanks guys 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

This was a great experience. We booked the private 1-1 for each myself and my son because a friend recommended it. There was another group that did a lesson and I am glad we had our own instructors because of the more hands-on attention they were able to give us. We could immediately tell that Aaron and Taylor were really passionate about teaching surfing. After a quick dry run ashore they towed us out to the spot in very beginner friendly waters. We were able to stand up and were catching waves after 1-2 tries and really enjoyed the hour spent out there. I guess they also offer advanced lessons but we didn’t spend enough time on Oahu to take advantage of it, which I probably will next time. Mahalo!

Husband had never surfed and it was on his bucket list to ride the Hawai’i waves. Joey was a great instructor and had hubby surfing by the end of the hour with pictures to prove it. It was his favorite part of our trip and he’s now hooked and in search of his first board. We highly recommend this excursion. Thanks, Joey!
