Escape from the crowded tourist areas for a private, 90-minute surf lesson for two near Lahaina, Maui. Choose from an early-, mid-, or late-morning time frame. This surf session will focus on water safety, proper surf technique, surfing style, and etiquette. The experienced, professional instructor guarantees students will stand up, catch a wave, and leave the beach as a certified surfer. All lessons are private so they will never combine guests from separate parties. All the necessary equipment — rash guard, state-of-the-art soft-top board, and reef shoes — included.

My husband and I, who are over 60 years old, had our first surfing experience in Maui this summer, and it couldn’t have been better! We were instructed by Kain, a great guy and exceptional teacher. We were able to catch a few waves and had the time of our lives! I highly recommend Rivers To The Sea to anyone that is thinking about learning how to surf. It made us feel like teenagers again!

My wife and I are total newbies. Our instructor Kyler took great care of us. Rivers to Sea made it easy: they provide all gear, including rash-guard tops. Kyler was patient, had great tips and had us standing after just a few waves. I'd recommend them to friends and family, and I'd use them again. The instructor's family has deep roots in the Maui surfing scene, and our instructor seemed like he was born on a surfboard. He was able to do a headstand on the board! Mahalo

I took my 14 year old and 12 year old for a semi-private surfing lesson with kyler and the kids had a blast and he did an amazing job I would definitely do it again
