Mount Rushmore is more than just the carvings. They have secrets that are not easily revealed. GeoFunTrek's guides are local experts with decades of experience. We have no seasonal guides, part-time guides or trainees. This is a family-owned business and all tours are conducted by family members: Cindy, Christopher and John Esposti. We have the knowledge and skills to make your day one to remember. You will always get the A-team when you tour with GeoFunTrek Tours!
All tours are PRIVATE TOURS, exclusive to the group booking the tour, and no additional guests will be included. Children must be accompanied by one adult. Children 3 years and younger are free and will have their own seat. Children's car seats must be supplied by family members when required. Our largest vehicle, a Sprinter van seats 9, and a larger vehicle may be rented or we can add a Honda Pilot for larger groups. This is a great tour for 3-generation families with Children, multiple couples and groups of friends.

  • GEOFUNTREK TOURS SAFETY UPDATE COVID-19 Your comfort and safety are our primary concern. Take a private tour, limited to your group only and enjoy the day. We have only three guides: John, Chris & Cindy. They are family members from the same household. They constantly monitor each other’s health. So even when not at work “THE BOSS” is always watching.
  • We do not have vehicles with a wheelchair lift. We can accommodate a folding wheechair and the guest must be able to enter and exit the vehicle on their own. We will gladly assist with any needed assistance and pushing.

We had the best experience. Be sure re to be camera ready as you start your tour. So many awesome views and incredible vistas. Enjoy time in both museums as well as all outdoor experiences. It was awesome and amazing. A true miracle in the making.

John exceeded all our expectations. This tour is private and they are on your time and agenda. He had great knowledge of the history and geology of every location. Mt Rushmore, crazy horse, and custard state park. Highly recommend! Worth the money to sit back relax, get the history and knowledge and let them take you around! Opt in to the cowboy Poetry with John!

An absolutely amazing and in depth tour of Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, and The Black Hills. My guide John was very knowledgeable and accommodating. He was flexible in our schedule and gave plenty of time for pictures and souvenirs at each stop. We saw bison, elk, and deer at the park. The weather was a bone chilling -6 degrees, but he brought a utility vehicle that could handle the icy conditions. Overall, a highly recommended tour from a satisfied customer. 5 stars. 10 out of 10.
