We're called Unique for a reason... This is not your standard Hana tour. We'll take you on a full day adventure all the way to Hana and beyond then back, or all the way around (depending on weather and road conditions). We will stop at all the best spots along the way, as your driver negotiates the busy 650+ turns and 55+ one-lane bridges. You can just kick back, take in the views, and enjoy the fun!

Highlights may include hiking through lush jungle, swim in pristine waterfalls, taste fresh banana bread and coconut ice cream, hidden lava tubes, scenic view points, local food trucks and farm stands, black or red sand beaches... and learning about Hawaii's history, geology, and legends...

Remember it is YOUR private tour, so talk to your guide about what YOU like and want to do!

At time of booking, Cruise ship passengers must provide the following information at time of booking: ship name, docking time, disembarkation time and re-boarding time
Refunds will not be issued if tour/activity is missed due to late or non-arrival of cruise ship
Due to uneven surfaces, this tour is not recommended for those with walking disabilities or using a wheelchair. Please bring or wear sneakers/keens/water shoes with good grip
Operates in all weather conditions, rain or shine, please dress appropriately, bring change of clothes.
Subject to SAFE weather conditions. If canceled due to unsafe weather or road conditions, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund

Pua'a Ka'a State Park

One of the Road to Hana's most amazing waterfalls! Weather-permitting, you'll be able to swim in the "refreshing" water (read: chillyyyyy!!), and even get behind the waterfall for an epic photo.

Ke‘anae Point

A big time favorite along the Road to Hana, Ke'anae point offers breathtaking views of the coastline, with big waves crashing on the rugged lava rocks. And of course, fresh banana bread, yum ;-)

Hana

We'll reach Hana just around lunch time, and you'll have a choice to sample some of the yummy local food trucks in the area. Local bbq, fresh fish, Thai, Mexican, Huli Huli chicken...? It's always a surprise!

Kaumahina State Wayside Park

A beautiful lookout point over the Hana coastline, overlooking Honomanu Bay and Ke'anae peninsula. Bonus point: a bathroom break if need!

Koki Beach

Just beyond Hana is a small hill, where it is said the bones of Pele, Goddess of the volcanoes, are buried. The rock is crumbly and erosion has turned the beach a deep shade of red. (Note this is not Kaihalulu / Red Sand Beach, which requires trespassing on private property and following a dangerous trail on which accidents happen regularly--we don't do that).

Wailua Falls

One of the Road to Hana's most photogenic waterfalls! If conditions allow, you might even be able to freshen up in the small pond.

‘Ohe‘o Gulch

We'll drive over the bridge that crosses over the famous Seven Sacred Pools, aka Oheo Gulch. Beautiful photo op! (Note: if you want to enter the National Park and hike up on the Pipiwai trail through the Bamboo Forest, up to Waimoku Falls, please select the 7 Sacred Pools & Bamboo Forest Hike Tour!)

Alelele Bridge

Another stunning view on the Road to Hana, right at the edge between the lush rainforest of the "wet" side, and the dry brush of the "backside". (Note: going all the way around East Maui is NOT guaranteed, as it depends on weather, road conditions, and ongoing road works).

Ho'okipa Beach Park

On the way back, if you still have a little bit of energy left, we can stop at Ho'okipa beach to check out surfing action, and hopefully a few turtles basking in the sun!

We have been on the road to Hana several times, but this time with Delphine was by far the best. When I drove to Hana before, it was rough and I could not enjoy the view. This time with Delphine, the drive to Hana was very smooth and I was able to enjoy the drive the whole way. Delphine was very knowledgeable, knew all the best spots, and most of all, fun! Our family had a great time with her. We would highly recommend Unique Maui Tours to anyone.

I scheduled a Road To Hana tour with Delphine! From the start she was easy to work with, pleasant and excited to take us on a personalized tour. Upon meeting her, it was like I already knew her, she's so personable! I appreciated her knowledge as she took us for the best breakfast, banana bread and ice cream (all her favorite spots)! Enjoyed her island facts and stories that helped narrate the road; super educational and fun. Delphine accommodated our interests and was always available for pictures! 100% highly recommend Unique Maui tours and Delphine for the road to Hana!

As a Hawaii resident and concierge, I must say that Delphine's Unique Maui tour company is outstanding and deserving of all accolades. Unique Maui Tours avoids the tourists traps, providing you with a local experience that only an experienced Maui resident can show. Her tours are personalized, creative, educational and adventurous. I had a chance to experience her West Maui tour, and I was very impressed with the places she showed me. Our group wanted to experience hiking, scenic views and places to swim. Delphine absolutely delivered. Delphine took us down the back roads (where the tourists don't go), to hike down to the most amazing local swimming hole. We also stopped for banana bread at a local vendor with incredible views of the west Maui mountains. Delphine and her associates are fantastic, knowledgeable guides that can provide you with a personalized, unforgettable Maui experience. Mahalo Delphine!
