Stroll around the cafés, restaurants and beautiful houses that the Italian immigrants shaped since 1920 in what today is the vibrant Little Italy neighbourhood. You will also visit the oldest quarter in the city; Gaslamp quarter. You will wander around renovated victorian-era buildings and restaurants, cafés, art galleries and more, while learning the fascinating history of this historical area of San Diego.

Not only is this area the epicenter of San Diego’s nightlife scene, it is also rich with cultural offerings that include theatres, art galleries, symphony halls, concert venues and museums.

Gaslamp Museum at the Davis-Horton House

The Davis-Horton House (formerly known as the William Heath Davis House) built in 1850, is the oldest standing structure in Downtown San Diego. It serves as the home of the Gaslamp Quarter Historical Foundation (GQHF) and the Gaslamp Museum at the Davis-Horton House.

Thank you for your message. Sorry to hear this. We strive to make every experience a great one. We spoke with your guide and we were informed on the day of the tour that one of the group members cannot walk very long due to a previous and reoccurring health condition. The young daughter, a delightful young lady was the reason the guide spoke more of architecture and history that did not include madam ida Bailey and her group. The amount of construction in the Gaslamp district was tremendous so were the homeless people unfortunately. She was extremely sad to be unable to accommodate their needs. Chris, the tour guide, did a great job! It was fun to learn about the history of the Gaslamp Quarter and Little Italy. Chris was informative and engaging. We stopped at a neighborhood gelato shop in Little Italy at his recommendation and the shop did not disappoint. Very good gelato and coffee drinks!
