Choose your own adventure! You pick the distance (6-10 miles on average), terrain, scenery, and difficulty for a spectacular day in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Abundant waterfalls, the highest peaks east of the Mississippi, and the prettiest views you'll find in the South are all at your disposal off the Blue Ridge Parkway, on the Appalachian Trail, or hidden deep Pisgah National Forest.

Price includes your guide and a picnic lunch; please specify dietary restrictions when booking. Trekking poles are provided upon request. Transportation is not included, but can be added for an additional fee (depending on availability).

We hike rain or shine! We will cancel the hike in the event of dangerous weather.

Blue Ridge Hiking Company has been in business for 13 years; we believe the trail is there for everyone at every phase of life. All guides are certified in Wilderness First Aid and CPR, and knowledgeable in local history, flora, and fauna. Check out our website for more information!

Lauren Smucker was our guide on a 1/2 day waterfall hike. We could not have asked for a better morning. Lauren was extremely knowledgeable about the history of DuPont State Forrest and took us to see the most amazing waterfalls. Lauren was extremely communicative before our hike to see what we were interested in doing on our hike, snacks we preferred and where our meeting place would be. We were extremely impressed with Blue Ridge Hiking Company. Thank you for help making our weekend so memorable and FUN!

My husband, 12yo daughter and I enjoyed a wonderful 3-hour hike with Melissa Watkins. She reached out to us a week in advance to talk about our hiking preferences and she recommended a hike at John Rock that checked all of the boxes - waterfalls, stream hopping and amazing vista views! She was so personable and shared a lot of interesting history and facts about the Asheville area and the flora and fauna on the hike.

Really nice people, really easy to work with, centrally located in Asheville, and personalized our hike for us. My son really enjoyed hearing stories about the local plants, and seeing waterfalls in the area. We explained what we were looking for, and they took us right to a spot that met our requirements.
