My wife and I booked this last minute. We wanted to try paddleboarding with experienced guides before purchasing our own boards. The weather, water, and wildlife conditions were perfect. Our guides Buck and Jackie were as well- knowledgeable, friendly, and chill. Our group was small, only 5 adults, but we blended very well. It was the most relaxing first-time experience we've ever had. We highly recommend this excursion.

This first-time paddle boarding senior citizen experienced a beautifully peaceful excursion in Coffee Pot Bayou with friendly, easy to like guides Jackie and Buck. I went with another first timer. I found Jackie and Buck to be delightful, thorough, and knowledgeable as they taught us how to navigate the paddle board experience. After a brief "how to" and words of advice on what to expect, they led us out, seated, into the water in search of manatees, rays, birds and whatever else may come our way. Jackie and Buck shared information on the creatures' habits, and shared genuine excitement when discovering them. After circling Bird Island and viewing up close and personal the numerous species there, with the breeze now at our backs we were reminded how to safely kneel, then stand up for a peaceful paddle back to the ramp. This progression was exactly in my comfort zone. (Others in our group who were more experienced stood, knelt, sat at will. ) Water, sunscreen, guidance and encouragement were offered. It was a good thing that they had already explained what to do if you lose your balance because - well, I did! I highly recommend Doo's Amazing Tours, under the youthful yet experienced eyes of Jackie and Buck, for anyone who wishes to try out the paddle board experience. What a peaceful and refreshing morning! GO DO IT!
