The ferry trip from Boston to Salem, as well as the return trip were delightful not at all crowded on Father's Day!, and expedient. For those interested, they offer cold beer with a lime and wine, along with sandwiches, wraps and snacks. Salem was an absolute delight, mostly due to our avoidance of anything witchy and the discovery of one of the most beautiful and interesting museums we have visited in the US - The Peabody Essex. Do not miss it! Finally, dinner at Turner's Seafood was a delicious and delightful experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our day in Salem.
Good way to get from Boston to Salem if you are visiting the area. August was the perfect month to go!
Had a great 3 days in Boston, including a day in Salem. I would have liked more as I did not get chance to do all that is on offer e.g. Harvard and MIT plus explore other places in the area. I did the freedom walk, Boston Tea Party and trip to Salem.
I guess I will have to return.
