If you have an interest in geology, and the history of the San Andreas fault, this is a great opportunity to get up close and personal with the South Western area of the fault and learn about it's creation. Our tour guides Ben and Sarah were so informative, about the area - Ben's knowledge of the geology and history is outstanding. Some mild off-roading into the painted and box canyon areas was not only beautiful, but a fun way to learn more about the make up the landscape. A short/easy hike into one of the slot canyons was a highlight for me. Wear comfy shoes. The tour guide provides water and snacks. Be aware that there are no bathroom facilities once you're in the canyon, and possibly no cell service.
