This tour is a blast! Absolutely the best way to experience San Diego Bay. You get to drive your own boat, which is stable and has some power too! Professional, ontime tour guides - and top notch outfit!

This was my 9th trip to San Diego in the last 7 years, (family) and I was looking for something a little more exciting than your typical "3 hour - 5 mph bay tour", and I sure found it with Speed Boat Adventures. They have these 'mini' speed boats (the guide told me they are 14 feet long) that fly over the water! They were the perfect size for my girlfriend and me, and the REALLY cool part is... you get to drive your own boat YOURSELF!! My girlfriend was a little nervous at first (she's not really into going too fast) but within the first 15 minutes, she was totally into it and couldn't wait to get her turn to drive (yes, they let you switch drivers half way through the 90 minute tour) We took tons of cool pictures of the sea lions, the downtown skyline, some aircraft carriers and some 150 year old sail boats. My girlfriend and I are going back to San Diego for Christmas and we're taking my folks on the speed boat tour for their Christmas present.

I would highly recommend San Diego Speed Boat Adventures; A friend and I tried them out about a week ago and it's probably the most fun I've had in quite a while; not only do you get to go on a SPEEDBOAT; you get to drive it yourself!!!! We followed the guide (who's in another boat) and he perfectly combines fun speed driving with tour guiding; he showed us some great spots and told us some really cool history that I had no idea about. This is a real treat; see the picture :)
