San Diego: The Most Extensive City & Beach Tour

Led by a fun & knowledgeable guide, the 7 hour trip features a 3-hour scenic drive and 4 hours spent at various locations. Learn the history of San Diego between stops with live narration, music & video. See all of San Diego in just a few hours.

Pick up point is at Santa Fe Depot. We first make our way to the historic Gaslamp District & Little Italy. Then, down the Embarcadero to Chicano Park, over the Coronado Bridge & make a 1 HOUR STOP in the amazing city of Coronado. We then, go up the 5 Freeway to La Jolla Cove for a 50 minute stop, visit the Sea Lions. Mount Soledad is a 15 MINUTE STOP, see spectacular views of San Diego. Then we make a 50 minute stop at beautiful Balboa Park. We end the tour at the birthplace of California, Old Town, for a 50 MINUTE STOP, before returning to the downtown pick up point.

The tour was on time and the guide knowledgeable . We were early before 9, but no one else including bus and driver were there till exactly 9:30 so we were not sure we were in the right place. Hard to see the drive by places from bus, stops were good but time went by too fast and not enough time for lunch on that Saturday too long to get order and rushed to eat La Jolla Cove and the Cabrillo national monument were awesome, places were very crowded. We were supposed to do tour on Thursday but was cancelled so we did the Hop on Hop off trolley and that and that day was better a lot less people. If at Coronado and Balboa Park we could have been guided to some highlights or given a walking map to see some awesome things the tour would have been better but given 45 minutes and just walking on your own when those places were so big we didn’t see much .

The tour stops are to give you a taste of the best spots in San Diego and as stated at the beginning of tour you will not be able to see everything in 45 minutes. This is a 7 hour tour not a 7 day tour. The tour itinerary and times for each stop are posted on the booking page before you purchase tickets and that its a 7 hour tour. We cannot control the traffic or crowds. It is the beginning of Summer and San Diego is a very popular tourist destination.

Does not Meet you at the address given. Better communication needed. I was sent several texts prior to the tour to sign an insurance waiver yet NOT ONE message explaining that , the bus will not pick you at 1050 Kettner but down the street from the depot on Kettner at the signal light. Ugggh. Vehicle check engine light wad on the entire time. Stressful.

It helps to read the pick up instructions. The rest of the group was at the pick up location as described. You were the only one that had a problem. Not complicated. The check engine light was on due to gas cap issue. That has been fixed. The vehicle gets frequent inspections under PUC guidelines and is in perfect running condition.
