Departing San Diego our tour incorporates a visit to historic Old Town Temecula and an American Viticulture Area (AVA), the Temecula Wine Country. Our guest-focused guides make the tour unique - engaging and passionate about wine and the story of Temecula. Ample opportunity is provided to enhance wine knowledge if one chooses. We are committed to ensuring guests are entertained, catered to, and provided an elevated experience unlikely to be duplicated on their own or with other operators.

Fellow tour participants often become friends, exchanging email addresses at day’s end! Our tour is an excellent diversion for individuals, couples or small groups, novice to enthusiast. We strive to create memorable, personalized visits for guests.

Included is round-trip transportation from San Diego. When submitting a reservation, please identify the lodging establishment where you will be staying so we may verify the closest departure point and estimated departure time.

Indulge in a relaxing, fun, informative afternoon visiting three unique and breathtaking wineries, interacting with knowledgeable pouring staff, and often engaging with the wine maker and/or winery owner. Sample anywhere from 15-20 different wines throughout the day. A delicious, individually served upscale picnic lunch is enjoyed at this first winery stop. Quick review: I live in San Diego but am originally from Chicago. I went on this tour once year ago with my mother-in-law and had a great time! My sister visited this past week and we went on the tour again with her and friends. It is a must-do trip for all my wine-loving visitors, and my local friends enjoy it as well! Vineyards visited give you a great idea of all the variety available in Temecula, and guides are very well informed and knowledgable. Longer review: The 3 vineyards visited in this tour have something for everyone. Frangipani is a boutique vineyard with great reds (I loved the syrah -cab blend and malbec). Lunch outside has a great view of the vineyards, or inside is fun with the wine barrels. Wilson Creek is a huge commercial vineyard with a bit of everything; whites (Golden Jubilee!), reds, and sparkling wines- everyone loves the almond champagne. The grounds are also beautiful and there's a nice arcade of vines to take pictures in. Finally Churon is a mid-size vineyard and inn with great white wines (specifically the Golden Nectar and the muscat) and wonderful views of Temecula Valley. The drivers/tour guides make the whole experience. I've had a different driver each time, but each was extremely knowledgable and more importantly, FUN! Tim and Joe were both great, each with their own charms. Joe especially was wonderful, we had a misunderstanding with an employee at Churon and he cleared it right up, and even scored us some delicious compensation for the trouble. On the way back to San Diego he even played "name that tune" with us and kept our party of 20-somethings and the bachelorette party of 30-somethings highly entertained! We were all getting a little wild and the driver took it all in stride. I can't speak highly enough of the people who run this business. I will be returning again!

The destination Temecula wine tour was a great experience! They were extremely accommodating, beginning with taking us on the tour (for a slightly higher price) even though there were only four of us rather than six, which is usually the smallest number they take. Tim was so knowledgeable about the area, and was so accommodating when we took a longer time at the second winery so we could join the wine club. He even dropped us off at our house in San Diego at the end of the tour, rather than at the scheduled drop off location. Overall, we had a fantastic experience, and would recommend Destination Temecula to anyone!

I was traveling solo and wanted to do a fun tour. Dave picked me up in San Diego in a very large and nice van. He made sure I didnt feel uncomfortable solo and the others were fun and friendly. Of course we became fast friends on a wine tour ! Lunch was good, the wineries visited were great, old town Temecula was also very enjoyable. Good time good tour
