With thousands of wild animals including many on the endangered species list, its no wonder that San Diego Zoo is world famous. With more than 4,000 animals representing 800 species, San Diego Zoo is home to a diverse collection of animals, many of which are rarely seen at other zoos.

Either spend another day at the San Diego Zoo, or receive admission to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, located about 35 miles (55 km) away from the zoo. At the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, you will be inspired by the African Serengeti and the endless expanses of the Asian plains, the 1,800-acre San Diego Zoo Safari Park offers you an exotic safari adventure unlike any other outside of Africa itself.

Excellent experience. Enjoy being around panda bears, gorillas, giraffes, lions, elephants, tigers, polar bears, rhinos, platypuses, and other species, all cared for to the highest animal welfare standards. Excellent work they do for biodiversity conservation. Thank you.

Really beautiful! The majority of habitats provide plenty of living space for animals. If you know that you will visit all the animals in the zoo, there is no need to take the bus tour; with the wait time, that’s over an hour out of your day. Large African animals and several others are present in both places. Each of the two sites have different charms, is it necessary to visit both? It was the mission of saving and rehabilitating species that convinced us to visit these San Diego attractions, we do not regret it.
