On our Secret Food Tour: San Francisco, the Mission District, you'll see how immigrants shaped the neighborhood by creating brilliant artwork, beautiful architecture and sharing their fantastic food! Originally home to Irish, German, and Italian immigrants, it is now the epicenter of San Francisco's Latino culture.

The Mission District is full of vibrant murals that offer a visual history lesson featuring themes ranging from cultural heritage to social-political statements. We will take a stroll through the neighborhood to get an up-close experience.

Our tours are more than just the food. Our local guides connect the dots between history, culture, and cuisine to provide you with a deep understanding of the Mission District's thriving culinary scene!

Had an unforgettable experience on this food tour would differently recommend it. Charlotte made this so memorable with her inviting personality. She is so informative on the culture,history, and current events of San Francisco that she highlights throughout the tour.

This was by far the highlight of my san francisco trip. Charlotte was an excellant and informative guide. Her welcoming nature and knowledge of both the district and the food were outstanding. This tour is well thought out,with great ranges of food and nicely rounded off by fabulous organic icecream and cookie in the park. Will be booking the london and new york tour when i visit this year. Highly recommend this tour.

Following a wonderful experience with Bridget of Secret Food Tours in New York, we knew we had to give it a go in San Francisco. Our expectations were high but we were not disappointed. Charlotte made us feel like friends right from the very beginning. Her enthusiasm for food and the Mission District was obvious and infectious and we really felt we got to know this part of San Francisco in a way that many other travellers or visitors would not. The food was delicious, with a wide variety of cuisines sure to cater to all tastes. But it was Charlotte's explanation of the history of the area that we most enjoyed. Thanks for a fabulous day Charlotte! After two such amazing experiences we will be seeking out SFT when visiting other cities around the world.
